The rattle box is an ingenious utility item that allows the performer to put small objects such as one-of-a-kind rings or marked coins inside and then have the item appear elsewhere such as in nested boxes! The item inside the box can be heard inside during the performance by shaking the box to show that the "magic" hasn't happened yet. When the magic moment comes, there is nothing to be heard from the box!
